Day 305 (30th June)

Doughnuts — who doesn't love them?

When I saw this Ash Baber recipe, I literally RAN to the kitchen to make it. It looks SO good that I was practically salivating at the thought of them.

I followed his doughnut base recipe, but when it came to the filling, I deviated to make a delicious raspberry cream filling.

Here's the recipe (it fills all doughnuts):

Ingredients:

  • One and a half cups of whip topping

  • Two tablespoons of raspberry trifle powder

  • One teaspoon of freeze-dried raspberries

Instructions:

1) Whip the cream to soft peaks.

2) Sift in the raspberry powder.

3) Whip to stiff peaks.

4) Fold in the freeze-dried raspberries.

5) Fill the doughnuts with the cream and sprinkle more freeze-dried raspberries on top.

That's all! :D MAKE IT NOW.

I kept meaning to add this to the post but I didn't so I'm just commenting

I just tangzhong (water roux) and it really made SUCH a difference — the dough was 10x softer than other doughs I've worked with
