I Promise That These Cheesecakes Are SUPPOSED To Be Burnt

Day 239 (25th April)

Edit: Sometimes you need to scroll through a month's worth of work just to lower the damn lighting.

I've reached my peak. Yum is the only word to describe these burnt basque cheesecakes. In all honesty, I haven't tried the dish before, but assuming I made these correctly, ooo!

These are better than other types of cheesecakes because of the caramelisation on top. The caramelised top makes it taste sweet, but the burnt bit cancels some of the extra sweetness out. Also, the batter is SO much fluffier than that of regular cheesecakes.

I halved this recipe but still used a whole egg, and I think that was the way to go. I know the "burnt" tops don't look very appetising, but once you put one in your mouth, you literally, physically can't stop.

I also crinkled parchment paper to make fancy muffin liners for these mini cheesecakes. I think it fits the vibe well. I really wanted to use newspaper for the liners, but I assumed it would burn (Good call; just Googled. Can you tell that I'm a Science student?).
