Fresh Off The Press: A Cinnamon Roll French Toast
Day 318 (13th July)
I'm convinced that I have invented the best breakfast ever — a cinnamon roll french toast. It tastes even better than it sounds.
Recipe (One Serving)
Ingredients:
For the french toast:
Two slices of bread
One egg
3/8th cup of milk
Two tablespoons of cinnamon sugar
Half a teaspoon of vanilla essence
A teaspoon of butter (for greasing)
For the filling:
One teaspoon of softened butter
One tablespoon of sugar
Half a teaspoon of cinnamon
For the icing (optional):
One teaspoon of milk
One teaspoon of powdered sugar
Instructions:
1) Combine the egg, vanilla essence, milk, and cinnamon sugar in a bowl. Beat it well.
2) Dip the bread slices in the custard mixture. Dip for about five seconds on each side.
Optional: Cut the slices of bread into a circle to give it more of a cinnamon roll feel. There will be no wastage, as you can use the remaining bread scraps and dip them into the mixture.
3) Lightly grease a non-stick pan with butter.
4) Cook the bread slices for about forty-five seconds on each side — or until lightly browned. Place them aside.
5) Combine the butter, sugar, and cinnamon and spread that mixture on one of the french toasts.
6) Add the second french toast on top.
7) Combine the milk and powdered sugar to make the icing.
8) Serve warm with the icing on top. Enjoy!
Genuinely, make this. It tastes like an easy breakfast dessert!
I'm dreaming about this truly SO SO GOOD
