Day 77 (14/11): Emoji Cookies

If you know me, you know I love using emojis — there are just some feelings you can't express with writing. However, I recently read this essay about how emojis are harmful to language growth. It makes sense, but there's so much more to love about emojis. They're universally understood — you can convey your anger with the same intensity to anyone around the world! Also, they make the conversation flow much easier on text. Plus, they work as a cop-out so many times! Imagine an emoji-less world in which you'd have to face every awkward text with words? 😬

As you can tell, emojis have been on my mind these days. So, when I found an emoji cookies video by Rosanna Pansino (who I didn't even know was a professional baker — but that's a WHOLE another discussion), I had to make them!

I just took inspiration from her — I used leftover Nino's Home cookie dough from yesterday to make these. I took the royal icing recipe from there as well. :)

I'm in love with these emoji cookies! I couldn't make my current favourite emoji (🤪) because I'd already coloured all the icing, but maybe next time?
