Day 92 (29/11): Nigella Lawson’s Dense Chocolate Loaf
Updated: Dec 7, 2021
This cake is the literal epitome of a soft chocolate cake. Well, not so much the first (or the second) time I made it. The third time's the charm, though, because this came out delicious. I can tell that this will be my go-to chocolate cake recipe now.
I believe the key step I missed out on the previous times is the amount of water used. Both times, I stopped about half a cup in because the batter was getting too wet. But it has to come out as kind of a hot chocolate consistency — yes, that wet!
I let the cake sit for around a day before cutting into it. It improved the taste — it tastes egg-like if you have it just after baking it.
See you tomorrow!
