Day 9 (07/09): Cheesecake Brownies

On day 9, I made cheesecake brownies. I've been wanting to try this recipe from cupcakejemma for a while now, so I was quite excited to finally get around to it!

Cheesecakes and brownies are one of the most liked desserts and this recipe combines them perfectly. The end result was finger-licking good!

The brownies were fairly simple to make. The only trouble I got with this recipe was that the batter was too delicious. I couldn't stop licking the brownie batter off my fingers. Jokes aside, the only time you have to be extra careful is when you're using boiling water for the swirly-whirlies.

The swirly-whirlies on top of a cake or brownie look difficult to do, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they aren't that difficult to replicate. All I had to do was save a bit of the brownie batter, add hot water to it, and use a toothpick to create the swirls.

Can we pause for a moment to appreciate the beauty of this?

These brownies are the perfect dessert for guests. They look and taste absolutely amazing.
