Day 6 (04/09): Chocolate Tarts

On day 6, I made tarts. This was my first time making tarts so I was quite excited! We had unused tart moulds at home from a couple of years ago, so I decided to test them out.

For the tart shells, I used this recipe by El Mundo Eats. The tart shells were perfect. My favourite part of tarts is always the shell, and this recipe did not disappoint. My only note would be to take smaller balls of dough each time since you do not want the shell to be too thick.

I melted white chocolate ganache with a bit of butter. For the top, made kind of a frozen grape coulis. I took a few grapes, lemon juice, water, and sugar in a pan. I combined it for a few minutes. Then, I strained it and froze it. The contrast between the rich white chocolate and the tangy treat on top tasted delicious.

Here are some pictures:

The white chocolate ganache I made was too little so I added some melted dark chocolate to a few of the tarts!

See you on day 7! :)
