Day 14 (12/09): Shortbread!

For day 14, I made shortbread! I used a recipe of my own. I started by taking butter, sugar, and flour in a 2:1:4 ratio.
I whisked the softened* salted butter and sugar till it was a little fluffy, and then I added the flour.
After combining the mixture, I added it to a greased baking tin.
I then chilled the shortbread for about 20 minutes in the freezer.
After chilling, I baked the shortbread in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 32 minutes.
Immediately after baking, I cut it into strips and chilled the shortbread for 2 hours.
It tastes a little like a mithai cookie, which I love. Let me know if you try it!

*To soften cold butter straight from the refrigerator, pop it in the microwave for around 45 seconds (check after 15 seconds).
