Day 113 (20/12): Mini Chocolate Pies
Updated: Jun 8, 2022
I feel like everyone needs a good chocolate-based recipe in their life — to satisfy those cravings that come up every once in a while. I think this is my new go-to!
It's extremely simple and made with only two ingredients.
Recipe (For Four Servings)
Ingredients:
1/4 of a puff pastry sheet (full size: 9.75” x 10.5” x 3/16”)
Six tablespoons of Nutella/chocolate spread
Tools: Four small tart moulds
Instructions:
1) Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
2)Roll out the puff pastry sheet and divide it into four equal parts.
3) Place each puff pastry sheet in a small tart mould. Trim the excess and store for later use.
4) Using a fork, poke holes at the bottom of each pastry.
Optional: Brush the pastries with milk and sugar.
5) Bake the pastries for 25 minutes until golden brown.
6) Unmould them and leave them to cool for fifteen minutes.
7) Melt the Nutella in a microwave-safe bowl.
8) Add about one and a half tablespoons of melted Nutella to each tart.
9) Leave the tarts to set in the refrigerator for at least two hours.
10) Enjoy!
Too good.
(Also, yes, I'm aware that the Nutella is melted in the picture. If you let it set, though, it will taste much better.)
