Day 114 (21/12): Apple Crumble

Apple crumble — a classic you can never go wrong with. This dessert reminds me of pie, and today I found out why! Crumbles originally became popular in the UK during World War II. Due to rationing, crumble was a more economic alternative to pies.

I used a recipe from an old blog on the internet. It turned out to be quite delicious. The blogger was from India, so India rep? Anyway, this crumble hit the sweet spot. I added 5x more cinnamon because Akshara Shukla (Genius, Doctor*, Scholar) decided to use garlic butter instead of salted butter. It didn't entirely offset the taste, but you could still realise the greatness of the crumble.

Crumbles don't look the best, so don't come at me for the photography.

Rating this recipe a 9/10! Must try :)

*PhD, because even in my wildest fantasies, I can't become a physician.
